So, why did I start this blog. Well, hmmm.......I guess that I am amazed at the technology out there. I am 51 years old and none of this existed when I was young. My children grew up in a military family and we moved just about every 3 years and they are now able to keep in touch with friends all over the world. I only had my hand, a pen, paper and snail mail. So, I lost some friends over the years, because they would all move and eventually the mail just didn't make it to them anymore. Now with facebook, I have gotten back in touch with high school, college and military friends and it is great. I even found some cousins I have not spoken with in years! 

So, I decided that I would like to start a blog so that I could put my life down on "paper" and it would be there for my friends, family, children and someday, grandchildren to look at and know a little more about me and my family.
